Preschool & Child Care
We are a licensed Preschool and Childcare that is open Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm. The staff consists of degreed or certified dedicated teachers. The staff keeps up to date by attending in service classes yearly.
Our Program:
Our program is based on Christian principles while following the guide lines set by the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards. The lesson plans are designed to provide the students with the knowledge and self confidence needed to prepare them for kindergarten and life. We work in small groups during Center time and large groups during Circle Time. The lesson plans meet the needs of the whole child by working on their social, physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual needs while teaching them to be independent. The children join Pastor Bob or Susan for chapel time weekly. They have a bible story and songs and a visit from Theo the story puppet.
Age:
We are licensed for children from 18 months to 4th grade.
Class Ratios:
Our ratio is below the State requirements which allows for better individual attention. Toddler ratio is 1 teacher to 4 children, 3 & 4-year-olds is 1 teacher to 6 children and school age is 1 teacher to 9 children.
Sessions:
We follow the Boardman schools schedule for starting and end times as well as holidays. We offer an orientation in August for new students and their parents. |
