25th Annual Alive Festival

The Christian music event of the summer is June 20th to 23rd at the Atwood Lake Park in Mineral City, Ohio. The theme this year is reflecting Christ is taken from 2 Corinthians 3:18, “and we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” Some of the featured guests are Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Sanctus Real, Kirk Cameron, The Afters, Mark Schultz and Phil Keaggy. There is also a host of seminars from parenting, financial workshops, marriage and youth seminars, the family fun tent and even camping everyday if you don't want to miss anything. Kingdom Bound 2012

What a fantastic opportunity for a day or four of camping, Christian music, workshops, and much more. This event happens on August 5-8 at Darien Lake Theme and Water Park Resort in Darien Center, New York. For non-campers there is a hotel also! July 18-22, 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans

We have received an invitation to the “Citizens with the Saints” 2012 ELCA National Youth Gathering on July 18-22 in New Orleans for those who are currently freshman or will finish their senior year by 2012. This Gathering will only be offered one week, so registering on the first day available in October of this year will be necessary. Students, this is the time to speak with your family about this event if you are interested. Parents, now is the time to encourage your youth to attend this awesome experience. If you want to talk with a young person who has gone, ask Susan for a name. All eligible students that want to attend may, our goal is to keep the “out of pocket expense” to the $150 deposit, (which will be returned the Gathering week) and spending money only. We will meet August 7th, after the 9:30 service in the Fellowship Hall to answer any questions and again in September to start the registration process and plan for fundraising.
