NALC Life-to-Life Discipleship

The NALC Life-to-Life: an experience in intentional Discipleship was introduced to Good Hope throughout the month of August with the Bishop’s Bible Study. The striking conclusion reached by those who attended the study was that the “intuitional church” has been distracting the Church from its primary mission, The Great Commission.
The invitation to be a Christ follower is more than church membership; more than regular worship, serving, and giving just to keep the church going. Hear the words of Mark 8:34- “And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
The Life-to-Life experience will encourage us on a life-changing journey to make Jesus the love of our lives, to know Him as our shepherd, to hear His voice, and know the joy that comes from following Him. Out of this joy and love, we will learn ways engage in the Church’s primary mission which is to make disciples of all nations.
The first invitation to the Life-to-Life experience was shared after worship on August 28th. Many of us are praying about the opportunity and the challenge. “It will require a high commitment from those who take part to spend time in prayer, study, personal reflection and encouraging others to walk more closely with Jesus…”
A second introduction and invitation to the Life-to-Life experience will be extended to the congregation during worship services on Sunday, October 2nd.
The Life-to-Life Discipleship experience is set to begin at Good Hope on Wednesday, October 5th at 6:30 pm. Come and see!
