ABOUT US

Good Hope became a congregation of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) in September 2012. Our church was founded in 1929 and since then, God has used us to be a beacon of hope for our members and our community. We are committed to God’s Word, preaching it, growing in it, and living it out. Our mission statement offers a quick view of who we are and hope to be.

God calls the people of Good Hope Lutheran Church
         to be His disciples,
to proclaim Jesus Christ as the focus of life, and
to share His hope and love with all.

Our main goal is to help you live and grow as a disciple of Jesus. A disciple is a follower of Jesus who is maturing & multiplying.

A disciple is maturing in faith. They are being shaped by the Spirit to become more like Christ.

Ephesians 4:13 (see 1-16)

A disciple multiplies disciples. Being apprenticed by others, a disciple is trained to help others be formed
in Christ’s image and to become multi-generational disciple makers. 2 Timothy 2:2

A disciple, in John 10:10-16,

  • knows the Shepherd and experiences the abundant life He promises,
(is in an intimate relationship with the Lord)
  • knows and follows the Shepherd’s Voice,
(trusts and is changed by the Shepherd as He speaks through the Word)
  • makes other sheep.
(following Jesus’ command to make disciples in Matthew 28:16-20)
