Reformation & 1st Communion Sunday

We invite you to wear red on Sunday, October 25th, as the altar cloths will also change from green to red.
The change signals that it is Reformation Sunday. We celebrate Reformation Sunday because it marks the day Martin Luther posted his objections to some of the practices of the church. His objections led the church to focus more on Grace, Faith, Christ, Scripture, and the Glory of God. We give thanks and celebrate that the Spirit continues to work in and through the church.
Our 2020 class of First Communion students are ready and have been waiting to come to The Lord’s Table since the middle of March. Please pray for those who have completed their 1st Communion training: Lilly and Nathen Lowe, Jamison Lynn, Santino Nespeca, and Kenzie Tobey. We look forward with joy as they will be able to participate in the sacrament of communion, for their first time on Reformation Sunday.
