Shepherd of the Valley will host a ceremony on Thursday, May 2nd, beginning at 2pm in celebration of the National Day of Prayer. The event will take place at Shepherd’s Liberty facility, located at 1501 Tibbetts Wick Rd. Girard, OH 44420. All are invited to come and enjoy music, light refreshments, prayers and more! This is the 73rd year the National Day of Prayer has been recognized. The theme chosen for this year’s celebration is Lift up the Word, Light up the World, coming from the book of 2 Samuel 22:29-31:
For you are my lamp, O Lord,
and my God lightens my darkness.
For by you I can run against a troop,
and by my God I can leap over a wall.
This God—his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
